Treat Your Partner

Once you become a parent, it's a very common occurrence for your beloved 'other half' to take a back seat in the fast riding rollercoaster that can become your life.

If it's time you reminded your partner of how much they mean to you, whether it be in commemoration of a special anniversary, a birthday, Christmas or just for a spontaneous 'I care' gesture, we hope this section of our site will save you some time by taking you to straight to some unique gift ideas that will be well received.

Yes we know he doesn't always wake up when the baby cries. He forgets to rub your back when you need some TLC, hasn't cooked a meal in weeks and when did he last change a nappy? But he is after all only a deliciousdaddie.

Cut him some slack! He probably is working all day and may not understand the feelings you go through during your day.

You know he loves you and you want him to enjoy something special too.

We know yummiemummies work hard, often with no recognition but no one works in total isolation all the time. Sometimes your 'significant other' deserves recognition.

You may be down to one income at the moment, but there are a lot of affordable ways for you to say a tangible thanks to your partner. Being a smart yummiemummie, you know that words are not enough. Delicious daddies need to see 'things' as well!

It has often been said that we need to 'give to get' and while the focus is (deservedly) on you, it is important to remember the others!

When the going gets tough (and if it hasn't already, it will) you will really value the help your partner offers. And he will also appreciate being recognised for his support.

He heads out the door every morning (or night) to his job. You too, may be off to your paid employment. The internet allows you to communicate quickly and almost for free with him. You can also use the 'net' to arrange a special treat for him as a surprise. It doesn't have to be extravagant, although there is no limit to how far you can go! Sometimes a simple treat is all that is needed. Have a look around here. Even an e-card can work wonders!

Parents of older children? Again many options to say thanks.

The good news for you is that if you pick the right treat for him, there is a pretty good chance he will include you any way so that's a double bonus!

So remember those that help you. Say thanks today in some way!
