| Why bother with exercise?
Along with everything else in your life, why would you want to think about exercise? I mean chasing the kids around the house should be enough right? NO! Everyone is telling you that exercise is good for you. They are right: · You'll feel better physically · Your self esteem improves · It helps to control your weight · It is essential for preventing osteoporosis · Your energy will improve. So with improved fitness, more energy and better weight you'll have more time for you. How can this be you ask? You will get everything done faster round the home because of the great new energy levels! However, yummiemummie is about being realistic and not trying to measure up to a ridiculous standard! When you start your program, keep it short and sweet. You have hectic lifestyles and may not be able to dedicate hours each day to the gym. And you shouldn't! Each workout should be short and efficient. It is more important that you are consistent. Be realistic. Again this is not about being Cindy Crawford next week or any week. Be you but be healthy. Some of you are not “morning people” Yes you know who you are but here is a thought for you “night owls”. Studies show that those who work out in the morning are 50 percent more likely to stick with it. Basically, get it out of the way before the day wipes you out. (What's more, it can also save you an extra shower later.) If you have the capacity to endure a gruelling day at the office, chase the kids around the house, run “mums taxi” and then shake, rattle, and roll in the gym—more power to you.
