| Get a Trainer
You're right. Personal Trainers are only for rich wannabes! I mean what will all your friends say? And of course if you did actually get serious and hire a trainer, you'll be the person who ends up with the spotty faced 18 year old boy who has no clue what being a yummiemummie is about. So maybe you're right: stay at home and sit on the sofa. Well this is just straight out dumb. Results are what count. Here's what Personal Training offers: Commitment - Meeting your Personal Trainer for appointments will ensure you get regular exercise Results – A Personal Trainers can make the most of your time in the centre Variety - They will keep your training interesting so you don't get bored Motivation – We all work better with a mentor or someone “cheering” from our corner Change - As your fitness improves, your Personal Trainer will modify your exercise to ensure you continue to improve. A partner who will help you achieve your goals So what is holding you back? Here are the common themes I hear: I'm too busy to be there once a week. You are entitled to some time out for yourself and it is just a matter of planning your time. You don't have to train with your trainer every week. Try other week or even once a month. It's too expensive! It is a matter of priorities. A bottle of good wine, a case of beer or your weekly movie hire is about the same as a session with one of our trainers. But you decide: your life or a future of ill health and disease. Get a group of yummiemummies together, alternate houses and morning tea/coffee and share the cost. A well qualified professional trainer will be able to offer guidance to you and your friends as you get into a fitness and well being routine. I don't need a Personal Trainer, I know what I'm doing! Yes, but even our champion Olympic athletes have a coach. There is a pretty good chance that if you are not in the shape you want, you don't have all the answers. Working with a professional is the best way to make sure you train safely and effectively, particularly if you are a new mum.
