Yummie Mummie

You know who we are talking about.

All yummiemummies have important people who unselfishly give of their time and energy when needed it most.

We know yummiemummies work hard, often with no recognition but no one works in total isolation all the time. Sometimes the friends in your life deserve recognition.

You have to cope with economic reality, lack of time, sometimes limited energy (when did you last get a decent nights sleep?) and limited resources. But everyone has people in their lives that make a difference. Often these people are also yummiemummies so they “get it”. They may be further down the path than you or perhaps are just starting like you. Either way they are incredible people who also seem to know just when you need an extra pair of hands.

Sometimes the way to thank these people may not be with a gift. A simple thanks may be all it takes. But when you want to say more or show your appreciation in a more tangible way there are choices.

There are many ways to show your appreciation for the help those special people have given. It has often been said that we need to “give to get” and while the focus is (deservedly) on you, it is important to remember the others!

When the going gets tough (and it will if it hasn’t already) you will really value the help that your friends offer. And they will also appreciate being recognised for this support in any way. Remember too that you are a friend to some of the same people who are helping you!

Despite the fact that we are all busier than ever and bombarded with information from news sources (like the internet!) there are some advantages to modern life!

If you are separated by distance from your important friends, the internet allows choices for saying thank you in some way to anyone, anywhere, and often without any time lag. It’s cheaper than the phone and snail mail and with the advent of online shopping, you can arrange a gift to say thanks to a friend anywhere in the world at the press of a button!

So remember those that help you. Say thanks today in some way!
