When the temperature drops skin problems start to appear. No matter what your skin type, you will experience some degree of dryness and dehydration. Some simple but very effective hints on how to maintain your skin hydrated and in top condition: · Do not bathe or shower in very hot water. Warm water is much gentler on your skin. Always apply a body moisturiser after. · Pay extra attention to hands and feet. Use a moisturiser after you wash your hands. Apply shea butter to heels and soles and wear socks before you go to bed. · Exfoliate your lips once a week using a wet soft toothbrush and gently brush your lips with a circular motion. Use a natural lip balm to help seal in moisture, then apply your lipstick, if you wish. · Apply your facial moisturiser a few times a day, and not only morning and night. · Choose products that contain natural oils (jojoba, safflower and avocado oils for example), which will deposit hydrating agents on the skin's surface and leave a light protective film. · Have a wonderful relaxing and hydrating Facial every 3 weeks to help you nourish and protect your skin during the cold months. Your skin will love you for it!
